Summary

Born from the renovation of an old 18th century farmhouse lost in the heart of the vineyards, this residence with private garden and swimming pool, a charming refuge, can accommodate up to ten people.

Description

The decorative objects and painted furniture, found in the region, the monochrome colors, the generous volumes, the shadows and lights crossing the shutters, set the scene for a friendly atmosphere rooted in the purest Provencal tradition. As for the service, it is the same as at La Bastide de Marie: attentive but not obsequious.

On the first floor, behind the dry-stone walls of restanques, the paved courtyard opens onto the private swimming pool and a terrace, the perfect place to share a barbecue in the summer. Inside, the fully equipped kitchen and the dining room are open to the view as soon as you enter the house. Nestling at the foot of the stairs, warm and intimate, the living room, with its fireplace, focuses on comfort.

Upstairs, in the five bedrooms, all equipped with their own bathroom, we find chromatic dominants linked to those of the Provencal nature: lavender mauve, Roussillon ochre, almond green, white lily, and sunflower yellow.

Location

At the foot of the village of Ménerbes, a few steps from La Bastide de Marie.

Amenities

Air conditioning, TV, complimentary wifi, mini-bar, in-room safe, Pure Altitude bath products, hair dryer, private parking, heated outdoor pool, BBQ, full-kitchen.

Only 15 kilometers from Tours, with its imposing and benevolent silhouette, the castle of Luynes offers an exceptional panorama of the Loire Valley.

Built in the 12th century on a rocky spur to defend the crown of France, it bears witness, thanks to its intimidating surrounding wall and impressive towers, to the turbulent medieval past in Touraine.

It is only in the XVth century and then in the XVIIth century that it will become a residence of pleasure.

Many Kings of France (Philippe IV the Fair, Charles VII, Louis XI, Catherine de Medici, Charles IX and Louis XIII on three occasions) stayed there, attracted to the domain by hunting.

Since its first construction, the castle has always been inhabited, which explains its perfect conservation today. Only three families succeeded one another: the Lords of Maillé, those of Laval and, since 1619, the descendants of Louis XIII's famous favorite: the Dukes of Luynes.

Beyond the strong historical interest, the castle of Luynes offers the charms of a family monument; through the visit, discover the apartments fully furnished and inhabited by the XIIIth Duke of Luynes and his family.

End the visit by letting yourself be surprised by the gardens, the ditches of the castle and the Gothic chapel with its upside down boat hull frame.

Hi Bertrand, First and foremost I hope you and your family are doing well and everyone is healthy. I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for one of our ICs Gayle for her clients the Fabianskis. I know Perry had reached out to you and I just recently became aware of the situation. I just want you to know that I personally think Decouvertes went above and beyond. This client has become increasingly difficult to the point of cutting off communication.
