Les Caves du Louvre is a magnificent 18th-century hidden gem that was formerly a royal wine cellar. In these caves, King Louis XV’s sommelier ordered the construction of a magnificent palace and started a wine supply business.
The spaces reached as far as the Louvre via a network of tunnels, and legend has it that wine could be delivered to the Palace in full secrecy in this manner. It was just completely renovated and made available to the public for the first time.
We offer you to learn the secrets of French wine in a stunning wine cellar through a sensory and interactive experience!
The goal of its winemaking workshop is for you to make your own wine in two hours. You’ll get to sample and select the grape varietals you want in your wine with the help of a dedicated Sommelier, then blend, experiment, taste again, enhance, and ultimately make your own wine.
After that, you’ll be able to bottle your very own wine bottle. You’ll leave with a buzz and a bottle of wine that you created yourself.
