Testimonials

I just wanted to thank you and your team for all your help with my group trip. Our guides- Michel and Julian, were absolutely fabulous! Our drivers were wonderful and Camile, our cooking instructor, was delightful. Thank you so much for providing us with such a great experiences. I look forward to working with you again soon!
Have a great week!

Everything went very smoothly.  All of our hotels were good, but we especially like the Chateau Saint-Giles outside of Bayeaux and would highly recommend it.  Lovely setting, excellent food and service directly from the owners.  Also, all the restaurants recommended by your team were very good.

All of our guides were friendly and knowledgeable, although two stood out especially.  Our guide for Versailles was fun and could answer any question, and we did try to stump him!  He made that day a highlight of our trip.  Also, the young American woman (from Virginia no less) we had for our day at the beaches and cemeteries was really top notch.

Finally, a special mention for the tour of the cidery, Maison Perigault.  We were a little early and arrived at the same time as a large tour group.  The owner called her son out of the fields to come give us a tour; we spent several hours with him which was a special opportunity to chat with a fellow farmer.

Just wanted to let you know what a great trip we had. All of the Harper hotels were 5 stars and all were so different. It would not be possible to rate one over the other. Our tour of Normandy with Eric was a never to be forgotten experience and the American cemetery was very moving. This was our seventh trip to Paris and we have stayed in many hotels going back to our first visit in 1969. The Cour de Vosges was quite special  and Carole, the manager was so gracious and the Place de Vosges was a great and vibrant neighborhood. We walked 5 or 6 miles both days while  we were there which I think was pretty good for a 77 and 78 year old. Also stairs everywhere The Meet and Greet at CDG was as I said previously worth every penny. We saved so much time.

Eric who guided us through the D Day sights was fantastic with a wonderful knowledge of WW II. We loved our hotel in Normandy. It was really beautiful. Our suite was huge.

We had a wonderful day in Dinard on a sunny Sunday and the Castelbrac is in a great location not far from town center and between the 2 ferry lines that go to St.Malo. The restaurant at Castelbrac was terrific and the staff very helpful. Our room was great with a sea view.

The Covent Garden was also great with a fantastic staff. This is a perfect location if going to see plays as we were. Great neighborhood with many restaurants and theaters  in walking distance Probably the best bathroom as it was very large with a double vanity which my wife loved. Room was very comfortable You might want to tell people taking the Eurostar that since Brexit, it is more complicated in that you must go through French and British customs at Gare du Nord which does take some rime but the train is still the best way to travel between Paris and London I hope we will be able to travel more but as George Burns used to say when he hit 80 “I only buy ripe bananas”. Anyway our next trip is to Hawaii in January for the winter. Thanks again for all your help on this trip and on prior trips

Tami’s email was a full expression of how both Claudia and myself felt about how professionally our arrangements were handled by all concerned. I wanted to just add that the one day trip that Claudia and I made to the beaches of Normandy (while the kids knocked themselves out at Euro Disney) was an emotional highlight.  Our guide, Alain, was phenomenal.  We had visited France, both Paris and the French Riviera, three times before but had never made it to the coast of Normandy. I personally had always wanted to pay my respects to the soldiers of my father’s generation, including two of my uncles who had had joined the American armed forces and served both at home and abroad in Europe during the second World War.  There really are no words to express how meaningful it was for me to have walked and stood upon the hallowed grounds upon which so many Allied soldiers had fought and died there. It was fitting that the day we chose was overcast and somewhat windy with the unrealized threat of rain lurking behind the clouds, similar to the weather in the early morning of the June 6, 1944 D-Day invasion. Alain was not only a dutiful guide and teacher but, most appropriately for me, a man who clearly held in his heart a humbleness and deep respect for that which we could only imagine had taken place where we stood 78 years before.

Thank you all, once again, for your efforts on our behalf.

I wanted to let you know that I just heard from the Ideker's. They apologized that it took them this long to provide feedback but they absolutely loved their trip!!  The Fauchon was their favorite hotel you put them at and the guide in the Loire valley
was truly magnificent.  They loved all of the guides as they were all very friendly and warm. The clients loved the smooth logistics, too. They met people who were traveling the same route and the other people had a very bad delay while our clients breezed right on from destination to destination.

Thank you so much for making me look like a rock star.  I appreciate that so much!!

I can tell you that your company is one of the best when I think of France. I have been pleased with the work and services provided for a few of my clients and hope this relationship continues as things begin to improve. I know France is still not open, but when the time comes, I'd love to hear about the safety protocols, as I find with my clients, this is key despite being vaccinated.

Bertrand’s webinars are unique and inspirational. He shares so much of his knowledge, appreciation, and passion about France. He can truly lift up your spirits, immerse his audience into the culture, culinary, arts and history of France, and offer special access that can be arranged to elevate the clients travel experience. It is absolutely lovely!!!

Hi Bertrand, First and foremost I hope you and your family are doing well and everyone is healthy. I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for one of our ICs Gayle for her clients the Fabianskis. I know Perry had reached out to you and I just recently became aware of the situation. I just want you to know that I personally think Decouvertes went above and beyond. This client has become increasingly difficult to the point of cutting off communication. Unfortunately in these times as agents we are in the unique position of having to work for our client but at the same time Sympathize what our suppliers are going through, especially DMCs like yourself.  We are all in this together. Decouvertes has always been a great partner to us and I look forward continuing that partnership in the soon to be better days ahead. After catching up on all the emails on this I also want to say Noemie has handled everything amazingly. She’s a great asset to you. I wish I had become aware of this sooner but thank you again for everything. I hope to see you again soon and wish you the best navigating forward. We will all come out on the other side ready to do what we do best.

All the best,

Tom

Celine and Marie - I also want to let you know how thankful I am to have partners like you in this trying time – last week has been the hardest since I got into the travel business 5+ years ago. We can only hope that the fear from this virus subsides and that people continue to travel. It is a resilient business!

Hello Christophe, I want to thank you for the excellent service and attention to my transfer in Paris on February 20. You confirmation and itinerary was professional and clear. The driver was absolutely on time, courteous and the vehicle was very luxurious. As a woman travelling solo I felt very safe and cared for. Again, I thank you and your staff for organizing my first experience with Decouvertes. I will feel confident utilizing your services in the future.
