This exhibition presented untill the 16th of September 2012 at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris reveals the story of two personalities, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs (creative director of Louis Vuitton) and their contributions to the world of fashion. How did they take part in their respective time to innovate and advance an entire industry? How these two men, with their own language, would take phenomena and cultural codes in order to write the history of fashion?

Giverny Museum of Impressionisms
From July 27 through October 31, 2012

All these artists worked between 1830 and 1930. They used different techniques and styles to sketch all sorts of subjects. The exhibit shows the broad development of modern draftsmanship in France at a key period from Romanticism through the Nabis and neo-Impressionists.
The works come either from Dyke's private collection, or from the donation he made to the National Gallery.
