Chez Michel is one of the few places left, that still serves such authentic traditional, home made family cooking in Marseille.
Three generations, have already provided the city and surrounding countryside with its most famous dish since 1946. Everything you eat here is first shown to you raw, and very often alive. No deep freezing here, nor farmed fish: only wild products from the Mediterranean sea just outside the brasserie.
Chez Michel is one of the few places left, that still serves such authentic traditional, home made family cooking, even if international personalities of the house include fish soup, squid cooked with parsley, bourride and a host of different grilled fish. But the pride of the restaurant is the delicious bouillabaisse!
This is a very recommended address in Marseille, that won the Bottin Gourmand, the GaultMillau (2007) and a Michelin star (2007).
