GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Major convertion to passenger vessel in 2003 except for hull and engines (hull built in 1921), all new equipment and installation. SS Delphine has managed to maintain the original style of her interiors with the result of a classic yacht with modern comfort ready for charter.
Launched in 1921 at the Great Lakes Engineering Works in Michigan, S.S. Delphine, was at 257.8ft and 1,342 tons, the largest yacht built in the United States that is still in existence today. Re-christened in September of 2003, by H.S.H Princess Stephanie of Monaco, S.S. Delphine is one of the most unique and exceptional vessels for charter in the Mediterranean fleet. In 2004 she received the annual showboats award for best refit.
Unquestionably Delphine's most dramatic departure from historical accuracy is found on the boat deck where a bar, a Jacuzzi jet swim spa has been installed along with a large sunbathing and lounge area. For the Jacuzzi, one can choose between fresh and salt water, that can be heated up to 30C or 86F and makes for an enjoyable late night soak.
The Horace & Anna Dodge Suite, the Master Suite, showcases a modern Victorian style. The suite amenities includes his-and-hers dressing rooms and a large bathrrom, with separate shower, decorated in onyx and marble. An antique painting serves as a cover for a large flat screen TV and DVD.
The Delphine Suite, or the VIP Suite, is on the main deck with direct access to the outside corridor and is similar to the Dodge suite with Crotch Mahogany panelling and a flat screen television with DVD hidden behind a painting of the Delphine leaving the harbor of Monaco.
The Horace Dodge Suite, or second VIP suite, is also located on the main deck. Spacious and bright, this suite also has direct access to the exterior promenade and boasts a vast amount of bathroom and closet space. Luxurious carpeting and a rich interior design make this a very unique and exceptional suite.
All the guest suites are located on the lower deck and have televisions, DVD players, Pioneer music systems, safes, mini bars, and are connected by interphone to all the other rooms. Lights can be dimmed to provide an ambiant atmosphere. All the marble en suite bathrooms are fully equipped to five star standards.
The Orlop deck is located beneath the guest staterooms and is where you will find all the health and fitness facilities. There is a professional hairdressing salon, a Jacuzzi for two, a sauna, a Turkish bath steam room, all of which accommodate up to seven guests. Mosaic tiled dressing rooms and showers. The fully equipped gymnasium also has televisions, a music system, a mini bar and a portable massage table.
SS Delphine can cruise with up to 30 guests. She is available to do event/static charters and cruise with up to 160 persons during the daytime up to five miles from the shore. An exceptional vessel, S.S. Delphine provides every guest with an unforgettable experience and many treasured memories.
