The start of the 62nd edition of the Tour de Corse will be given this 28 March 2019 in the city of Porto-Vecchio for the first time in its history.

CORSICA linea - Tour de Corse, the first edition of which took place in 1956, has been part of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) since its creation in 1973 and until 2008. Directly managed by the French Federation of Sport Automobile, the French round of the WRC was organized in Alsace from 2010 to 2014, before returning to the Island of Beauty in 2015.

In 2019, the Championship is composed of fourteen races spread over four continents and offers varied surfaces: asphalt, snow, ice, earth.

Three support championships complete the WRC, bringing together the headliners of the discipline: the WRC2 for four-wheel drive vehicles, the WRC2 Pro for manufacturers engaging four-wheel drive vehicles and the Junior WRC, a category open to the more young drivers. These four categories of competitors will be welcomed from March 28th to 31st in Corsica.
