Happening in August 2020

Founded in 1979, the Soöruz Lacanau Pro is a surfing competition that represents a decisive stage in the world qualifying circuit. It takes place every year in August. For ten days, the best European and international surfers compete on the central beach in Lacanau. The competition starts with the juniors before making way for the professional surfers. Big names in surfing have taken part and won the grand prix, like Felipe Toledo, Kelly Slater or Gabriel Medina.

Activities are also organised every day like an SUP race, Zumba workshops, Tahitian dance demonstrations, yoga sessions and vintage surfboard exhibitions. In the evening there are many festivities like concerts and film screenings. There is also an exhibitors' village with shops run by partner brands like Soöruz and refreshment stands.
