The Valmasque Valley is named after a local legend, which tells that a witch named la masca, accused of all the evils of the village such as bad harvests, was chased away in this worryingly deserted valley.

Make no mistake, with its three lakes, Valmasque is majestic. The hut is ideally positioned to enjoy a grandiose landscape, perched above Lac Vert.
It is accessed by a pleasant track, where marmots are legion, in the heart of the Mercantour National Park.
